Color of tranquility - Color de tranquilidad

The turquoise color is known for bringing sense of tranquility, because it resembles tones of the sky and the ocean. Its name comes from the French pierre turquoise (Turkish stone) and it is believed that arose from a confusion, due to there are not turquoises in Turkey, but the first traders that brought them to Europe were Turks. Turquoises actually came from Iran.

El color de la turquesa es conocido por transmitir sensación de tranquilidad, debido a que se asemeja a tonalidades del cielo y del océano. Su nombre proviene del francés pierre turquoise (piedra turca) y se cree que surgió de una confusión, ya que en Turquía no hay turquesas, pero los primeros comerciantes que las introdujeron en Europa eran turcos, aunque en realidad provenían de Irán.
